Emily is a highly qualified professional with a Violence Against Women and Children certificate. Emily attended Rutgers for her undergraduate and double-majored in psychology and social work, graduating with her Bachelors. She then returned to Rutgers for her Masters's in Social Work.
She then went on to work for an Involuntary Outpatient Commitment program where she worked with people who met the criteria for dangerousness in the foreseeable future, with the goal of keeping them from being re-hospitalized or incarcerated.
Emily is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ population and understands how human sexuality and sexual/gender identity impact people's lives. She is a big proponent of incorporating different treatment types into her work to best serve each of her patients. Emily's expertise in substance use and mental health treatment, combined with her passion for helping people, makes her an invaluable member of The Counseling Center team.
